MAPO TOFU
マポ豆腐

Mapo Tofu

INGREDIENTS

100g minced meat
150g silken tofu
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil

Seasoning:
2 tablespoons mirin
1 tablespoon Gold Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon Moribun Miso
2 tablespoons water/ stock
A pinch of pepper and corn starch 

COOKING METHOD

1 Mince the garlic finely and cut the tofu into cubes. Set aside
2 Combine all the ingredients for seasonings in a bowl and mix well together. Set side
3 Heat the olive oil on medium heat and saute the garlic. Once it’s fragrant, add the mince meat and break it up.
4 Pour in the seasoning mixture. Do a quick stir, simmer for 3-4 mins and add in the tofu
5 Toss the tofu in the sauce and continue to simmer for another few mins until it’s boiled. Off the heat.
6 Garnish with parsley and sesame seed (Optional)
